0-5Km Beginners’ Running Group

Where? Stamford Park near the Tennis Courts

When? Friday 9.30am

Tried Couch to 5km before but always bailed in week 7 after that huge jump to 25 minutes on your feet? Not anymore! Accountability is what you need, so sign up to our beginners’ programme and set yourself well on your way to achieving your goal of running 5km. 

We’ll get you going on our 12-week programme – we’ve found it works better than the official 9-week programme which some runners find accelerates too quickly – which consists of three workouts per week – one of which you will do with me in the group and the other two sessions you’ll fit into your own schedule. 

Every Friday, we will complete the most challenging run of the week after school drop-off, mixing running with chatting…and maybe a quick coffee after? 

Each week’s session will be different and focus on the popular walk/run method which helps you to gradually increase your endurance levels
